GLP Lawyers International hires Chemical Warfare Expert Dr Ewald Swinny

Perth, Western Australia Apr 21, 2024 (Issuewire.com) – Chemical warfare expert and university professor Dr Ewald Swinny has joined GLP Lawyers International as a solicitor in its commercial disputes team. Dr Swinny will also play a crucial role in the firms’s criminal defence briefs by leveraging his expertise in toxicology and forensic science.

Dr Swinny began his career as an industrial chemist at Unilever in South Africa where he also taught chemistry as a lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

He later achieved his doctorate in organic chemistry. When he migrated to Australia, Dr Swinny undertook further postdoctoral research at the University of Adelaide.

Dr Swinny was an adjunct professor at both the University of Western Australia and Curtin University from 2007-2014.

He currently leads the chemical and emergency response team at the ChemCentre, a government statutory authority that provides expert analytical and scientific information to government, industry and the community.

Dr Swinny was admitted to practice as a barrister & solicitor after reading law at Murdoch University.
